Verified Reviewer |Horrible company and poor quality
Nothing but issues since we purchased our home about 5 months ago. Everything from flooring, siding, doors, windows, roofing, irrigation leaks, paint issues, hvac issues and everything else you can think of.
The warranty dept has started ignoring all forms of communication and has even cancelled work that was agreed on. Thevwarranty rep in our area will not allow inspections to be done when there is an issue or warranty claim made, and thinks he knows everything. He is extremely uneducated on all issues and should leave it to the contractors to decide what is best.
But century communities has no accountability for there workers. I suggest everyone stay away from this builder.l
User's recommendation: Stay away from this builder, dont waste your money

Verified ReviewerHorrible company
When my wife asked them to stop doing it incorrectly they told her she was rude walked out and do not complete the job as you can see from the pics the roof repair is incomplete and the gutter and other materials left laying in our bushes.
they had someone put a scab repair on it and denied saying they would replace it, even though we have an email from them saying they would replace it.
The pic of the screws in the carpet is there idea of trying to fix a subfloor that was improperly installed and the list goes on and on. they will do and say anything they can to avoid warranty repairs; they straight-out lie and don't honor anything.
- Poor workmanship they do not honor warranty
Preferred solution: Like them to own up to there mistakes and fix them properly instead of saying no or doing a repair that is worse then the problem that was reported
User's recommendation: I would recommend do not purchase anything from them and if you do have a private home inspection done and have an attorney on speed dial you will need one
Structural problems
I bought a home and have had nothing but issue after issue, repair after repair. This has gone on for five years.
All century said its settling. Now I have floor tiles cracking because my foundation is full of cracks. There was no underlayment put under the floor tiles. Walls are cracking everywhere in my home.
Drywall corners are cracking, ceilings are cracking, corners of windows are cracking, woodwork around doors are separating in every room. Front and pack porch floors are cracking in many places. All I get from century is its settling. I have had many new homes and have never had anything like these things happen before.
I know its not normal.
They are not taking any responsibility for any of this. Poorest builder ever.
User's recommendation: Do not buy from them

Verified ReviewerThey do not honor the 1 year warranty
In my experience, their build quality (Marvella community in Las Vegas) is REALLY REALLY poor. Their 1 year warranty is almost a scam.
If it costs them $50, $100 to fix, sure they'll send someone real quick. But if it costs several hundreds or more, they won't fix it.
My advice is to keep looking. But if you still want to purchase, my advice is to get a good inspector on Yelp, have him inspect several days before the close of escrow and do not wire any deposit or sign any papers until ALL defects observed during the home orientation are fixed. Because after you have signed, they won't fix those big ticket items.
I bought back in 07/24.
The home inspector found a lot of cosmetic issues early on. They fixed some before the close of escrow, some after the close of escrow. But they refused to fix the bigger ticket items. (See photos.
There are more unfixed defects but tenants are living there and I don't have those photos at the moment).
The so-called "Customer Service Managers" told me at the beginning: "we don't fix these window frames" then promised to take care of the kitchen wall after his vacation but never did. He closed my ticket without any explanation at all.
I emailed care@ and info@ and got in touch with a person named Alex very quickly, but all he did was waste our time.
He made an appointment about 2 months after contacting me for his contractors to come out and repair the two biggest defects on 6/24/24, but nobody ever showed. And of course, Alex no longer responds to our texts or calls.
User's recommendation: Avoid.

Verified ReviewerCheaply done home!!!
When we moved in is when you find out how much they cut corners to save them money but costs you more. No doors on the lining closet in the main bath, now drawers on the main vanity, cheap LVP, no screen door to the sliding patio door, no kitchen drain stopper.
Flat pain thru whole house, and left no paint to touch up, left not even a piece of LVP in case something happened to one no linen closet in the 2nd bath, no medicine cabinets at all no toilet paper holders and no towels bars in either bath. It looks like some drunk installed the toilets. There is more to list. lack of communication when you call they don't return calls.
And when asked why a bad review all he kept saying was did you not walk thru? And I told him you don't notice a lot until you are in the place.
SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU BUY!!!
- To much to list
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don't purchase your home from them unless you are ready to invest a lot more money into it. Don't know how well constitution was didn't see it being built, but owning a home from them is not all that very cheap material cut corners where they can.

Verified ReviewerEvery yard in development was either graded and seeded or hydro seeded except mine and my neighbor. My yard consists of mud and weeds.

There was no service
I believe that century complete homes should come and hydro seed my lawn. Seeing that my wife and i weren't offered and perks or discounts like others in the neighborhood.

Verified ReviewerReally great service requires an honest review
I just closed on my new home in Eagle Hammock (Eagle Lake, FL) with Century Communities, and overall, Im really happy with how things turned out!
At first, I thought some of my concerns would end up being pushed until after closingbut thanks to William Foor and my construction manager, Mario, everything was taken care of before I signed. That really meant a lot to me.
William and Mario were awesome to work withsuper easy to communicate with, quick to take action, and clearly care about doing a great job. They were professional, responsive, and made the whole process feel a lot smoother.
If youre thinking about buying with Century Communities, Id definitely recommend themespecially if you get a team like William and Mario behind you!
- Really great construction department

Verified ReviewerPoor quality, cheapest floor 12c per foot, poor CS
They do not want to work with their customers, BBB also contacted. Thank you
April 24 found sprinkler system aimed at front bedroom (not in use) saturated carpet and walls, eventually repaired. Since then, lawn dying, sprinkler system failed in fall, another company had to repair. I had professional yard service since March 2024. Reached out to Century multiple times and they say landscaping not covered.
The home came with a one year warranty. They hired the cheapest people and South Eastern landscape is no longer in business as per and email from Century Nov 14th. BBB and Attorney general were notified. but nothing can be done.
There may be a community law suit against them shortly. We do not have the means to replace the cheap St Aug.
sod and soil that were used and live in an HOA!! HELP!

Verified ReviewerMuddy yard
My wife and i purchased a century complete home in chapel pines development in linwood nc in april of this year, there are homes that have beautiful graded and plush backyards and then there is mine and my neighbors on each side of me who's backyards are a bad combination of mud and weed. Over the course of a few weeks i and my neighbors have been eye witnesses to homes being graded flat and smooth and hydro seeded and grass is already growing.
Have talked to the landscaper and construction manager about this situation and they claim all lots received the same treatment. Which is clearly not true. I would like to have a representative to come out to the neighborhood and see for themselves that there is a problem and find out if they plan on rectifying the issue.i was quoted $5-6k for hydro seed and don't feel that i should have to come out of pocket for something that was done to other properties in neighborhood.
Hope to hear something something soon. Thank you.

Verified ReviewerCannot get resolution from CEntury
Customer service contacted several times, said landscape not included in their one-year home warranty, but they sent another company to repair the less than one-year-old irrigation system. The entire yard appears to be dying, poor soil, poor sod.
I will continue to fight. Other homeowners in our community are not happy with unresolved issues.

Verified ReviewerHorrible company to work with
We bought a house in December, and we have a lot of problems with it. The house is brand new.
The pipes for the sewer water broke, and we have been trying to get somebody to come fix it for about a month, but nothing has come of it. There are so many other issues, but they do not help. Do not buy a home here or trust that they will help! Very untrustworthy and not sticking to the warranty that was promised.
There have been so many issues since we got the house, and nobody answers, not even the manager/boss. We have contacted them many times, and they ignore us.
I am tired of dealing with this company and want to help anybody who’s thinking of buying a home here. Do not—it's not worth it.
User's recommendation: Don’t buy here horrible community company. Very untrustworthy and not helpful at all

Verified ReviewerHorrible Experience with Century homes by Timnath Lakes.
It was our first time purchasing a home together, and the Century Houses at Timnath Lakes was a terrible experience., Chris, the salesperson, is untrustworthy. He makes fake promises and provides false information that the booking amount and earnest money will be refunded if the loan doesn't go through.
They first authorize your prequalification for a loan and demand that you pay $10,000 in earnest money. Later, they deny the loan for basic information that should have been verified during the prequalification process. They simply use sweet talk to try to sell you a house, and when your application is denied, they refuse to return the earnest money.
When purchasing a home with Century Homes, please exercise caution. 'Don't trust Chris'.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: No, If You interact with Chris, better don't proceed.

Verified ReviewerBuilder experience, and the build of the home
I purchased a home in 2023 and thought it was going to be a great new home. However, the flooring in the home was poorly installed.
The boards around my island, in particular, are not installed properly. The molding on my upstairs walkway, near my laundry room, has been affected by moisture. Unfortunately, the builders are unwilling to do anything about it. They were also dismissive about the issues with the floors.
Moreover, effective communication with the builders has proven to be almost impossible. I recently installed a garage opener, and have been waiting for the builder to open the drywall to remove the low-voltage wire. However, they continually refuse to carry out this task and place the blame on me, even though I did not personally construct the home. It's disappointing that every point of contact lacks accountability for any aspects of the home and instead points fingers at you.
I would advise that before purchasing with this company, you should look other places. It's clear to me now that they use cheap materials and inexpensive contractors to cut corners in every conceivable manner.
- Cheap and mishandled materials
Preferred solution: for builder to fix the home as it should have been installed properly

Verified ReviewerPoor quality in workmanship
Within 2 years of ownership, the floor is peeling up at the seams. Interior doors are delaminating.
Our bedroom door frame has over 40 nails in it. Tiles in the shower look like a blind person installed them.
We had no final walk-through. All we got was an email that gave us a code to a lockbox with the keys in it.
- Everything else
Preferred solution: I would like to receive the sum of $12,000 to replace my floor with a quality tiled floor. This

Verified ReviewerWarranty
Please make sure you walk your property during the inspection/walk-through period. We are having issues with the carpets in one of the rooms, and now they are saying that the warranty does not cover it, making it look like it's our fault. They will try to find excuses to not go out and fix your issues after closing.
- Cheap prices
- Warranty no good
- Rushed inspection
Preferred solution: our carpet fixed

Although I empathize and would be p***ed myself, I really must agree with the question asked..."Did you not walk through??". I know somethings can be missed, but those should be pretty small things, not the stuff you have mentioned.
